She Lingered

First, he saw her silhouette in front of the window and then she stepped into the light....

The light shone just right off of her left collarbone, an illumination that took his breath away. He sucked it in quickly as he involuntarily turned towards her.  He seemed to have lost all control of his body. He was on autopilot. She turned three-quarters to him and glanced down where he could make out her perfect profile like a snapshot in time.

Her dress was long and black. The short train trailed a bit behind her while the front was shorted revealing long, shapely legs and perfectly chiseled ankles that sat atop her feet cradled in expensive, designer heels. She walked as elegantly as a Gazelle ran. There was no touching the floor.  You could not detect the footsteps, just a gentle glide across the floor. She seemed to be the only one moving in the room among others paused in time.

The moment was interdimensional. Time stopped. As she passed, he could see the intricate woven design of the dress' straps down her back.  Each cord tightly hugged her shoulder blades and the curve that went from her back to her waist down to her hips. The dress framed her lower back just enough to make you wish it was just a tad bit lower.

The indentation of her spine seemed to glow. He fantasized about gently laying her down on a soft, cloudlike bed and turning her over so that he could unzip that dress and place his tongue in that little trough and gently taste her from the rivet just above her plump cheeks to the base of her neck and then around to her earlobe to softly whisper the effect she had on him.

She was close enough now to smell her perfume that flirted with his senses and made all else come to attention. He did not know this fragrance but it seemed to be a part of her, not a perfume. There was nothing fake about it, just full essence of this Goddess. It reached out to him, beckoning him to pull her towards him into his arms where she belonged.

As she passed by, she just glanced off him and lost her balance and he reached out to catch her.  She looked at him with those eyes and for a moment time actually stopped. She thanked him and strode off.

And there she lingered on his skin....
